童年自制力攸關未來成就(Self-control in kids predicts future success, study says?)最新研究發現，3歲時自制力最強的兒童，成年後將享有最好的健康、財富與成就。美國「商業週刊」（Bloomberg Businessweek）報導，研究報告的執筆人論定，3歲時較無自制力的小孩，比較可能會輟學、做出術後面膜違法的事並遭遇經濟困難。研究人員分析1972年至1973年在紐西蘭出生的1000名小孩的資料，追蹤他們的情況直到32歲。他們的自制力是自3歲起針對各種不同狀態，經由老師、父母與小孩本身所評估出來。根據研究報告，智商較高且在社會經濟地位較高的家庭所養育出來的小孩，往往自制能力較強。這房屋貸款份報告24日發表於美國「國家科學院學報」（Proceedings ofthe National Academy of Sciences）。但即使在調查了智商與社會階層後，3歲時較有自制力的兒童，在32歲時賺的錢較多而且也較健康。自制力較差的兒童比較可能會染上不良行為，像是在青少年時懷孕、抽菸、成為單親與失業。較無自制酒店工作力的3歲小孩，成年時也可能會有經濟困難與身體較差的狀況。身體檢查與驗血報告顯示，他們更容易得到牙周病與性病，而且可能會過胖、有高膽固醇或高血壓以及發炎的跡象，他們也可能會對香菸、酒精與藥物成癮。研究報告主要執筆人、美國杜克大學（DukeUniversity ）心理與神經科學教授莫菲景觀設計特（TerrieMoffitt）表示：「為了因應可能發生在你身上的事而展望未來、事前計畫你所想達到的目標、與其他人打交道並獲取他們的幫忙和支持，以及為值得等待的事情等待，自制力對這些方面是相當重要的，而不是會為了近利而貿然行動。我們每天都會運用到自制力，但有些人會以更有技巧的方式裝潢使用。」加州大學戴維斯校區（University of California，Davis）人類發展學教授貝爾斯奇（Jay Belsky）說：「生長在富裕或貧困人家會有差別，是無庸置疑的，如果我們擁有與生俱來的智商與才能，這會構成差距，也是毫無疑問的，但也相當重要的是我們的自發行為，我們控制或管理我們衝動的酒店經紀程度，以及我們做出的選擇與決定。我們是駕駛這架飛越人生飛機的活性成分。」他沒有參與這項研究。（譯者：中央社張曉雯）Self-control in kids predicts future success, study saysWill your toddler grow up to be a healthy, financially stable, drug-free human being?
